How I plan an engagement session in Longview, Texas!
There’s a few steps we’ll follow when first planning your engagement session.
First we’ll chat and hone in on the style you want to feature. Do you enjoy the greenery and trees of Longview? Or do you prefer a downtown urban feel? And even then your wedding venue if you’ve already booked with one, will allow you to have your engagement session there! And you also might want a space that is special to you both and an essential spot in your love story.

After that we’ll go over your fashion choices, honestly one of my favorite subjects. As a general suggestion I advise solid colors. This will do a wonderful job of making sure you’re the focus and not a heavy pattern your wearing. So think a solid shirt for him and a solid color dress or top for you! I absolutely love coordinating outfits so please tell me your thoughts and outfit choices!
Next up is time of day! I love me a good golden hour photo session. But I completely understand if we have to work around your schedule. However I can’t express how much a love a nice golden light coming through the trees hitting ya’ll just right. So I often suggest a time from of 1 hour to 1.5 hours before sunset. And depending on the location maybe more, due to the trees blocking the sun sooner.

And then the day of your engagement shoot is here! We’ll meet up at the location you chose, starting off with some classic posing to help get you used to and comfortable in front of the camera. Then the fun poses! I also bring a portable speaker with me so tell me some music that gets you in that dancing mood!
This session is so much fun. Allowing you to get used to the camera and get comfortable with that feeling is a big priority for me. Let’s have a blast!
After we wrap up I’ll go home and get started on your images! You can expect your full gallery within two weeks of our shoot date!
